Troop F encompasses the northern parts of Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties and all of Aroostook County, the Crown of Maine. The 6,672 square miles of Aroostook make it the largest County east of the Mississippi. Aroostook County, bordered on the east by the Canadian Province of New Brunswick, and on the west by the Province of Quebec, provides many challenges to the talents of the dedicated men and women comprising Troop F. With a driving time of nearly 3 hours from one end of the County to the other, and considering that the western two-thirds of the County is forested wilderness, our Troopers deal with a vast array of events, situations, and even weather all in the same day.
