Pepere's Camp
About Pepere's Camp

This is a picture of Pepere's Old Camp. This used to be rented out to people, but was recently torn down and a new camp built on it.
This used to be one of the oldest camps around the lake. It was located right near the mouth of the Mud Lake to Cross Lake thoroughfare. In front is a little pond, and there sits Pepere's boat. Pepere is the 'valley' french word for Grandfather. He is Jules' father, but he is one of the oldest Cross Lake citizens so he is called Pepere by us. During the summer months, he takes his little boat fishing out on Square Lake. The camp is now torn down, and a brand new one built in 2003 is sitting there. Pepere still lives next to Jules' Store and can help you get bait for fishing if you need!
